Ya' know that feeling of wrapping Christmas gifts with beautiful, shiny paper and carefully curled ribbons but having to hide them in a closet for weeks? This year, there was a pink teddy bear in the dollar store window that our Cherry Tomato had been pining after, and it took all of our strength not to reveal that there was already one of those pink bears up in our closet, wrapped with curled ribbons. One day, there was an outburst of tears when she saw the teddy bear was no longer in the window a mere two weeks before Christmas. It was so hard to NOT tell her she was getting that pink bear (now, aptly named "Pinky"). Well...it's time to do some unwrapping of some things we've been hiding along with Pinky the dollar store teddy bear! Without going into too much detail, I think it's fair to at least reveal which CONTINENTS this year has in store for us! We are so excited to announce we will be touring in EUROPE, AUSTRALIA, and all ACROSS CANADA in the next year! So there you go! I know I feel much better now - I never said I was the greatest secret keeper ;) We promise to let out all the details as the year unfolds...but it's gonna be a big one! We hope you're doing a happy dance with us!
2016 took us across the country and across the entire world to Australia! We shared stages with inspiring musicians, made new friends, reconnected with old friends, pushed ourselves, made new music, faced many fears, and overall couldn't have asked for a better year! We couldn't have done any of it without the support of the Government of New Brunswick, Music/Musique NB, East Coast Music Association (ECMA), agent extraordinaire and winner of the 'wears the most hats' award, Shelley Chase and Garrison Hill Entertainment, Chuck Teed, Jessica Rhaye, our beloved CBC Radio Canada, Jordan Mattie Visuals, our parents, friends, and fans!!
We can't wait to share more about what other hidden presents we've got wrapped! Let's start with a sold out show at Lansdowne House Concerts, Jan 7th (get on the waiting list for tix!), Shivering Songs Jan 21st (tix still available!) and a pair of shows with The BackYard Devils! (Imperial Theatre March 3rd get tickets ASAP! & The Capital Theatre March 9th - grab tix here!) We've got a fantastic show planned for Feb. 11th at the Carleton Victoria Arts Council in Florenceville-Bristol (tickets available here). Also - we'll be traveling to Kansas City in February to attend and showcase at Folk Alliance International!! We're just getting started....hope to see you all along the way!
It really does take a village. And we have the most amazing village.
